As research and construction is about to be concluded, all current updates on my project revolve around beginning to add my research onto the topics, as well as develop the introductions, activities, and critical thinking questions. There are still some topics I’m debating on using, as I already had to swap out a few for newer topics that fit the structure and flow of the activity. There are a lot I have planned for the activities, but I plan to have no more than 2-3 digital tools or media for the user to have to explore. While I want to topics to be engaging, I don’t want it to be daunting for any reason. John Green’s Crash Course: World History & World History 2 videos will be used a lot throughout the activities since the project is inspired by it. Other videos will need to be implemented from other channels for some of the other topics I will be using them for.
Going forward, there are three things I will focus on. First and foremost is getting all the information I accumulated and putting them into the introduction and activity parts of the activities. Next, I plan to implement critical thinking questions based on the information I have and what I think is best for the user to answer. Lastly, I want to begin utilizing as many of the digital tools provided by Scalar 2 as possible, depending on its fit and ease of use. Another minor objective I’m also completing is the creation of a citations page for all my research materials.
Below is the poster that I plan to use for my projects:

To conclude, the project will be coming together slowly but surely. With the hard part out of the way, I’m excited to look at how the project will come together. From what I have structured in Scalar 2, the topics and pathways created show a good flow of discussion and presentation. The big concerns will stem from what digital tools I’ll be using, how I will use them, and what kind of questions I will be asking the user. However, I am confident in completing all the tasks at hand, especially since the research part of the activity is over. More than likely, any additional research I have to do will depend on additional digital tools I use or if a switch out a certain topic from the activity.
